Here are some updates about the classroom!
We finished out William Penn Unit in social studies and I introduced PA Day to the students. Ask them all about it. This will be a day where the students learn about old PA history and get to see some great artifacts made by others.
In writing we will be finishing our poetry unit and finalizing out poetry books! They are getting very colorful and exciting!
In Science, the students are beginning Ecosystems! We built the ecosystems last week and they will begin to see some sprouting soon!
In math we have been working on some PSSA review this week. Today we took a break from review and played some games on the computer! Here are some pictures!In reading we have been working a lot with non-fiction. We have been reading the Storyworks. We have read articles on the future, students who have lost their homes, and Friday we are doing a play from it!

Here are some great pictures of the students working on the Maniac Magee final project. They had to choose one character and turn them into a life-size cut out. They had to give at least three internal features for their character and at least 2 external. They did a wonderful job! There are also some pictures of the students presenting their project to the classes. We worked with Mr. Kratzer's class so it was a big audience to present to, and the students did very well! The last few pictures of the students are when we were watching the Maniac Movie! They were disappointed in the movie, the book is much better!
